Ohio State holds off Wisconsin

Ohio State women turned the tide with a big third quarter and then held on down the stretch to defeat Wisconsin, 70-68, Sunday afternoon at Value City Arena.

The win was the second in a row for the Buckeyes and evens their overall record at 12-12. Ohio State remains right in the middle of the pack in the Big Ten with an 8-7 mark.

Dorka Juh °sz led four Buckeyes in double figures with her ninth double-double of the year. The Hungary native finished with game highs of 21 points and 15 rebounds. She was 9-of-12 from the floor and also had a block, a steal and an assist.

Janai Crooms finished the game with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists. Carmen Grande chipped-in with 13 points, five assists and six rebounds.

The Buckeyes scored 12 of the first 15 points of the fourth quarter and the lead ballooned to 65-52 with 4:14 to play. Wisconsin slowly chipped-away making three three-pointers in the closing three minutes and found itself down just one at 69-68 with 5.2 seconds remaining. Carly Santoro split a pair from the line and the Badgers were unable to get a long range shot off in the final seconds.
