“God Friended Me” (8 p.m., CBS): New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia, who played for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers before he hit the big leagues, guest stars as himself.

“Elvis All-Star Tribute” (9 p.m., NBC): Music’s biggest stars honor the King of rock ’n’ roll in this two-hour program, hosted by Blake Shelton. They will pay tribute to Elvis Presley’s “68 Comeback Special,” recreating the iconic night with musical performances, rare footage and interviews with Priscilla Presley and Steve Binder, the director of the original special, plus a special appearance from Lisa Marie Presley. Performers include Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Alessia Cara, Mac Davis, John Fogerty, Josh Groban, Adam Lambert, John Legend, Little Big Town, Jennifer Lopez, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Pistol Annies, Darius Rucker, Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.

President McKinley is topic of lecture

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s next Bites and Bits of History lunch program will be at noon Thursday at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown. In honor of Presidents Day, Amber Farris of the McKinley Memorial Museum in Niles, will speak about President William McKinley.

She will discuss the facets of McKinley’s life that are less well-known – from his time in the Civil War to joining the Masons, as well as his personal life from childhood through assassination.

Guests can bring a lunch or visit Overture Restaurant for a $6 Bites and Bits Lunch Special. Call Overture at 330-744-9900 to place an order. Coffee, pop and water will be available for purchase at the History Center.

Chamber orchestra to present concert

ALLIANCE

The University of Mount Union Repertory Strings Chamber Orchestra and string ensembles will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the DeWald Chapel on the Mount Union Campus.

The performance will include works by composers Vivaldi, Jean Berger, Henry Purcell and Benjamin Britten. Bohdan Subchak, instructor of violin, will be the featured soloist on Vivaldi’s Spring concerto.
