Walsh Jesuit led 35-18 at halftime and upset Boardman in their secitional semifinal. Raegan Burkey and Katie Stamp each scored 13 points for the Spartans and Alicia Saxton added nine. Katie Clark scored 21 points for the Warriors and Sloane Sapp finished with 15. The winner of the Walsh Jesuit-Munroe Falls sectional final will play the Austintown Fitch-Warren Harding winner in the district semifinals on Feb. 25.

WARREN

The Raiders spotted the Rough Riders a 16-14 first-quarter lead, but Warren Harding dominated the rest of the way for an easy tournament-opening win. Kamarah Bender led the Raiders with 18 points and Indea Phillips had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Harding will visit Austintown Fitch in a sectional final at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Adreane Crockett led Kent Roosevelt with 18 points, including a 10-for-10 performance at the foul line.

Howland jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first quarter to win its sectional semifinal. Kayla Clark led the Tigers (17-6) with 16 points and Alyssa Pompelia had 11. Landaeshia Temple scored seven points for the Cowboys (2-20) and Cazhia Jackson score four. The Tigers will travel West Branch for their sectional final on Thursday at 7 p.m..

STRUTHERS

Emma Elia scored 18 points and Trinity McDowell had 17 as the Wildcats (15-8) crushed the Bulldogs (0-23) in a sectional opener. Heike Kaurschill added 12 points and Renee Leonard had nine for Struthers, which will visit Ursuline in a sectional final at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor Garvin led Lakeview with six points.
