Charity receives grant
SALEM
Local charity The Brightside Project was recently named a 2019 KidCents Charity by the Rite Aid Foundation. Across the country, 416 charities will each receive a $5,000 grant to improve the health and well-being of children. The 2019 class includes 145 charities who are participating in the KidCents program for the first time. The selected charities’ programs encompass a wide variety of projects that advance children’s health and well-being, promote academic growth and support a safe environment to live and grow. Through the KidCents program, members of Rite Aid’s loyalty program, wellness+ rewards, can round up their in-store or online purchases to the nearest dollar and donate their change to The Brightside Project by visiting www.kidcents.com. Through KidCents’ Step fund, The Rite Aid Foundation will provide a matching donation of $500 for every $500 The Brightside Project raises in contributions through the wellness+ rewards program, up to a maximum of $5,000.
