Canfield High School hosted its annual Sweetheart Dance at the school on Feb. 9.
Members of the Sweetheart King’s Court included senior Matt Beck, escorted by Svetha Nallapaneni; senior Vincent Prologo, escorted by Sophia Campos; senior Phil Stanic, escorted by Alexis Bernat; senior Reilly Todd, escorted by Mary Gomez; junior Jake Fay, escorted by Ashley Thompson; junior Joe Scolieri, escorted by Grace Mangapora; sophomore Chris Sammarone, escorted by Jade Hood; sophomore Ty Schaab, escorted by Morgan Carey; freshman Ray Bernat, escorted by Gianna DeLucia and freshman Harry Slaven, escorted by Jenna Vrable.
After everyone was introduced, and with lots of fanfare, Matt Beck was crowned 2019 Sweetheart King.
Beck was presented with a bouquet of roses and, of course, a royal crown.
