MEN

No. 1 Tennessee 85, South Carolina 73

KNOXVILLE, TENN.

Admiral Schofield had 21 points and 10 rebounds as No. 1 Tennessee defeated South Carolina for its school-record 19th consecutive victory. Jordan Bowden scored 16 points for Tennessee. Kyle Alexander, Jordan Bone and Lamonte’ Turner added 10 points each. Grant Williams had eight points, nine rebounds and seven assists with only one turnover. Tre Campbell had 19 points for South Carolina.

No. 13 Villanova 85, Providence 67

VILLANOVA, PA.

Eric Paschall scored 20 of his 25 points in the second half and No. 13 Villanova rebounded from its first Big East loss by running away from Providence. Fellow senior Phil Booth added 22 for the Wildcats (20-5, 11-1). Nate Watson led Providence (14-11, 4-8) with 18 points.

No. 15 Texas Tech 78, Oklahoma State 50

STILLWATER, OKLA.

Jarrett Culver scored 19 points, and No. 15 Texas Tech defeated Oklahoma State. Matt Mooney scored 15 points and Tariq Owens added 11 for the Red Raiders (20-5, 8-4 Big 12), who have won five of six. Cameron McGriff scored 18 points for Oklahoma State (9-15, 2-9), which has lost seven of eight.

No. 17 Florida State 88, Wake Forest 66

TALLAHASSEE, FLA.

Senior Christ Koumadje recorded his first career double-double, with 20 points and 12 rebounds, to help No. 17 Florida State beat Wake Forest. Koumadje, a 7-foot-4 center who is playing in his 109th career game, made 10 of 12 shots from the floor and set a career high in rebounds as the Seminoles won their sixth straight game. Phil Cofer scored 13 points and Mfiondu Kabengele had nine points and seven rebounds for Florida State (19-5, 7-4 ACC).

No. 22 Virginia Tech 76, Georgia Tech 68

BLACKSBURG, VA.

Ty Outlaw scored 20 points and No. 22 Virginia Tech defeated Georgia Tech. Outlaw hit six 3-pointers for the Hokies (19-5, 8-4 ACC), who rallied from a three-point halftime deficit and snapped a two-game losing streak. Michael Devoe paced the Yellow Jackets with 22 points.

WOMEN

No. 1 Baylor 71, Kansas State 48

MANHATTAN, KAN.

Chloe Jackson scored 16 points and No. 1 Baylor used a good shooting night and solid defense to rout Kansas State. Juicy Landrum added 15 points, Lauren Cox 14 and Kalani Brown had 10 and 12 rebounds for the Lady Bears (22-1, 12-0 Big 12 Conference), who beat Kansas State for the 31st straight time. Baylor has also won 35 in a row in the regular season against Big 12 foes and 33 consecutive conference games on the road.

No. 6 Notre Dame 97, Boston College 47

BOSTON

Arike Ogunbowale scored 23 points to move into second place on Notre Dame’s all-time scoring list, and the sixth-ranked Fighting Irish coasted to a victory over Boston College. Brianna Turner scored 19 and Jessica Shepard had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Notre Dame (23-3, 10-2 Atlantic Coast Conference). Jackie Young scored 15 with 10 rebounds for the Irish, who led by 29 at the half and mounted a 23-0 run that left them with an 88-29 lead after three quarters.

No. 12 North Carolina State 77, No. 16 Syracuse 73

SYRACUSE, N.Y.

Kiara Leslie had 30 points and 10 rebounds, one of three players for No. 12 North Carolina State with a double-double to help the Wolfpack end a two-game losing streak. Freshman Elissa Cunane scored 22 points with a career-high 12 rebounds and senior DD Rogers scored a career-high 16 points with 10 rebounds for the Wolfpack (22-2, 9-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), who won their first 21 games before losing to rival North Carolina and at No. 24 Florida State. Leslie made 5 of 8 free throws in the last 27 seconds, just enough to save the game for the Wolfpack.

TCU 76, No. 18 Iowa State 69

FORT WORTH, TEXAS

Lauren Heard scored a career-high 27 points, including two clinching free throws with 26 seconds left, and TCU upset No. 18 Iowa State. Amy Okonkwo added 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Jordan Moore had 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Horned Frogs (18-6, 8-5 Big 12 Conference). Neither team had a double-figure lead but the Horned Frogs took the lead for good with a 6-0 run in the third quarter when they made 6 of 8 free throws. Moore made 5 of 6 while the Cyclones were missing three straight shots.
