UPDATE | Authorities pull man from Green Township barn fire

GREEN — A Green Township man was badly burned during a barn fire at 9125 Washingtonville Road, said Goshen Police Chief Steve McDaniel.

McDaniel said police officers today unsuccessfully tried to get the man out of the barn five or six times early this morning. A fire crew arrived at the scene and was able to remove the man, who was severely burned in the blaze, McDaniel said.

McDaniel said he was at an accident on Washingtonville and Western Reserve roads this morning when a person told him about the fire.

The man's condition isn't known at the time.

Fire crews from Green, Canfield, Damascus and Beaver are on the scene.

The man's condition isn't known nor is the cause of the fire.
