Quisenberry earns HL honors for second week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.

For the second straight week, Darius Quisenberry was named the Horizon League’s Freshman of the Week.

Quisenberry averaged 16 points and five assists per game last week. Quisenberry tied a career-high 24 points and dished out seven assists against the Phoenix. He also connected on 8-of-13 shooting from the field and made three 3-pointers and all five of his free throws against the Phoenix.

Quisenberrry scored all eight of his points in the second half against Milwaukee, including a three-point play with eight seconds left, and assisted on Garrett Covington’s game-winning 3-pointer.

On the year, Quisenberry is averaging 12.8 points per game and ranks seventh in the league with 3.7 assists per game.

YSU will go for its fifth-straight win when it hosts IUPUI, Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Beeghly Center.
