Poland, McDonald, W. Reserve make AP’s Top 10

Poland, McDonald and Western Reserve are in the Top 10 of this week’s Associated Press poll of Ohio teams. With two first-place votes, Poland (18-0) is third in Division II with 161 points, 24 fewer than New Philadelphia. In Div. IV, McDonald (17-1) is in fifth place with 114 points and two first-place votes. Western Reserve (17-2) is tied for 10th place with 33 points. Western Reserve’s two losses were to McDonald and they are the top seeds for the district tournament at Mineral Ridge High School. In Div. II, Cardinal Mooney is 16th with 12 points. Poland and Mooney are the top seeds for the Div. II district tournament at Austintown Fitch.
