YSU swimming receives CSCAA academic honor

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown State swimming and diving team was named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American team, the organization announced on Monday.

The award recognized a record 713 teams (Division I-III) and 460 programs across the nation that achieved a combined 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the fall 2018 semester.

During the recent fall semester, the Penguins posted a team GPA of 3.26.

The Penguins are back in action on Feb. 13-16 at the Horizon League Championships.
