Walk-in clinics for immunizations

WARREN

Warren City Health District, 258 E. Market St., Suite 327, is offering childhood immunization clinics this month and March on these dates and times: 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., Feb. 11 and Feb. 25, and 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. March 11 and 25.

All clinics are walk-in. No appointment is necessary. The child should be well and free of fever, rash or illness. An updated shot record is required for each visit.

A $21.25 administration fee is charged. Medicaid is accepted and participants are asked to bring their insurance cards.

New pediatrician

Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics welcomes Dr. Vida Kaniecki to its Boardman office, 6505 Market St., Building A, where pediatric primary care for infants, children and teens are provided.

She comes to Akron Children’s from Sewickley Valley Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in Sewickley, Pa. She was also chairwoman of pediatric medicine at Sewickley Valley Hospital and previously was lead pediatrician at Steel City Pediatrics in Pittsburgh.

Luminary sale for cancer patients

SALEM

Salem Regional Medical Center Foundation is providing an opportunity for area residents to honor their family and friends while also supporting SRMC’s cancer services by sponsoring a luminary for a $5 donation to SRMC’s Foundation on behalf of area cancer patients.

For each donation, a luminary will be lit and displayed at The Vineyards at Pine Lake in Columbiana during the Foundation’s Annual Hearts & Stars Gala on March 23.

Individuals wishing to sponsor a luminary for the 2019 Hearts & Stars Gala may visit SRMC’s Look Nook Gift Shop through March 15 to complete a sponsorship form. The Look Nook is on the hospital’s ground-floor concourse.

It is not necessary to be a guest at the gala to sponsor a luminary. Those wishing to attend can obtain tickets now.

The event features Chris Spielman, nationally-known speaker and former Ohio State and National Football League player, who will share his family’s personal story with cancer.
