A summary of police activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:
HUBBARD
Jan. 24
Citation: After receiving a complaint that a man was pounding on a door in a possible effort to enter a Meadowland Drive residence, police cited Jason R. Kornas, 37, of Wrenfield Drive, Hubbard, on a charge of disorderly conduct while intoxicated. An inebriated Kornas banged on doors to and looked through mailboxes at other homes in the area, several residents reported.
Jan. 26
Arrest: Authorities responded to a vehicle off the road on state Route 616, where they charged Branon O. Williams of South Hazelwood Avenue, Youngstown, with operating a vehicle impaired and resisting arrest after saying Williams, 23, refused to get out of the car after being placed under arrest and pulled several times from officers. He also refused to submit to a breath test, a report showed.
LIBERTY
Jan. 24
Arrest: Officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue to pick up Dawn M. Jones, 38, who was in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Task Force. Jones, of East Lucius Avenue, Youngstown, was wanted on a township warrant.
Jan. 25
Breaking and entering: Someone entered Valley Counseling Services, 4970 Belmont Ave., likely through a rear window covered with plywood, then removed an undisclosed sum of money from a vending machine.
Arrest: Authorities were sent to the Mahoning County jail to arrest Tashaela N. Marshall, 20, of Coitsville Road, Campbell, on an outstanding Girard Municipal Court warrant.
Theft: A man noticed his wallet and $150 missing from his Monticello Boulevard apartment.
Jan. 26
Assault: A Church Hill-Hubbard Road woman alleged her boyfriend, of Warren, pushed her to the ground during an argument, then struck her face three times while they argued a second time.
Theft: Henry Smith Jr., 57, of McGuffey Road, Youngstown, was charged with stealing doorbell chimes valued at $48 from Walmart, 200 Goldie Road. Also taken into custody was Pasha Alamin, 62, of Lansdowne Boulevard, Youngstown, who was wanted on several Mahoning County felony warrants.
Drugs: Police responded to a vehicular accident with a possible injury on St. Andrews Drive before charging Kelly M. Wasser, 22, with drug abuse and operating a vehicle impaired after saying they found her passed out in the car. The West Middlesex, Pa., woman had a bag with a single prescription pill; she also registered a 0.095 blood-alcohol content, which exceeds Ohio’s 0.08 legal intoxication limit, a report indicated.
Domestic violence: Raeanne E. Brantley, 32, of state Route 7, Brookfield, was charged with the crime after her husband, of Murray Hill Drive, alleged Brantley slapped his face during an argument related to their marital situation.
Jan. 27
Fraud: A Girard woman found several such transactions to her bank-account statement while she was at the Liberty Plaza and, upon further inspection, discovered money had been transferred from her account to a business in Dearborn, Mich. A woman who worked at a Belmont Avenue fast-food restaurant the accuser patronized may have initiated the fraudulent activity, the victim surmised.
Jan. 28
Weapon: During a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Belmont Avenue, authorities charged Demetrius D. Harris, 18, of West Evergreen Avenue, Youngstown, with being a convicted felon with a firearm after saying they found a gun in the vehicle, along with 15 .40-caliber rounds and a .40-caliber magazine. Also, police charged a Youngstown boy, 15, and a Cleveland boy, 16, with obstructing official business.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Holly Drive woman said her boyfriend took her 2014 Chevrolet Cruze without permission.
Jan. 29
Arrest: Authorities in Girard took custody of Deana R. Jenkins, 32, of Monette Street, Campbell. She was wanted on a Girard Municipal Court warrant.
Incident: A Madison Road woman told officers she received a fraudulent bill from a cellphone carrier, which advised her to contact police.
Theft: A Breeze Knoll Drive man noticed an $800 diamond ring missing from a closet.
Arrest: A traffic stop near Gypsy Lane led to Amari J. Wise’s arrest. Wise, 18, of West Lincoln Avenue, New Castle, Pa., was charged with obstructing official business when, police alleged, he provided a false name and date of birth.
Jan. 30
Arrest: John J. Surette III, 31, of Orchard Avenue, Hubbard, surrendered at a Belmont Avenue restaurant on a Hubbard warrant.
Drugs: While investigating a suspicious person in the 3400 block of Belmont Avenue, officers charged Lisha M. Roberts of Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, with two counts of drug abuse and one each of falsification and obstructing official business after alleging Roberts, 51, had four loose prescription pills in a napkin and narcotic pills in a bottle on which was another person’s last name. In addition, Roberts, who was wanted on several warrants, provided a phony first name and an incorrect Social Security number, a report stated.
GIRARD
Jan. 24
Assault: Police answered a disturbance call in the 500 block of Hazel Avenue, where a man alleged another man attacked and injured the accuser during a fight.
Menacing: A North Avenue woman alleged upstairs neighbors have followed and taken pictures of her without consent, and that a man in the apartment complex asked her for sexual favors.
Harassment: A North Elruth Avenue woman said her former husband has sent and made numerous unwanted text messages and calls to her.
Jan. 25
Burglary: To a residence in the 500 block of Hazel Avenue, from which a lamp, a heating blanket and other small items were missing
Jan. 26
Arrest: Girard authorities met with Weathersfield Township police to pick up Renee R. Culver, 37, of Olive Street, Girard. Culver was wanted on a Girard Municipal Court warrant.
Recovered property: A 1993 Toyota Corolla was found in a driveway in the 200 block of South Main Street after a woman had reported the car stolen.
Jan. 27
Arrest: A traffic stop near High and Main streets resulted in the arrest of Marcus R. Pearson, 35, of Cohasset Drive, Youngstown, who was wanted on a Trumbull County 911 center warrant.
Jan. 28
Theft: A North Avenue woman alleged her former boyfriend stole $100 worth of her jewelry before she tracked the stolen goods to an Austintown pawn shop.
Attempted breaking and entering: A North State Street woman told officers two juveniles kicked a garage door in an effort to enter before they fled on foot.
Jan. 29
Theft: A North Highland Avenue man discovered a $600 money order that was for his landlord was stolen.
