Foundation to host annual Wine for Hope

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley will announce the 2019 H.O.P.E. Awards for Lifetime Achievement at the 9th Annual Wine for Hope that will take place from 6:30 to 11 p.m. April 12 at The Lake Club. The first award was presented to the late Henry Nemenz for his decades of donating time, money and resources to improve the quality of life of children and families in the community.

Huntington Bank will present the winners, in association with WKBN 27 First News’ “Caring for Our Community” initiative.

Honorees include:

Michael Currington, Warren Police Department

Ed DiGregorio, Youngstown State University women’s basketball coach (retired; community volunteer)

Rey Esparra, GBS

Ricky Pasco, community volunteer

Mackenzie Pasco, community volunteer

Corey J. Patrick, Youngstown Business Incubator

Deryck Toles, Inspiring Minds

Event sponsorships, reserved tables and single-ticket seating are available by contacting Anthony Spano at avspano@hopemv.org; by calling 330-728-2699; or by visiting www.hopemv.org/wine. Tickets purchased before March 31 are $60 per person or $450 for a table of eight to 10. If purchased after March 31 or at the door the day of the event, cost is $75 per person. Cost includes dinner, wine tasting, entertainment and the awards ceremony. There also will be a silent auction and raffle baskets. Proceeds will benefit chronically and terminally ill children in the Mahoning Valley.
