The Lucarellis celebrate their 50th anniversary

HILLSVILLE, PA.

Gilbert and Marie Lucarelli of Hillsville, Pa., recently celebrated their 50th anniversary with dinner at L’uva Bella Restaurant, hosted by their children and grandchildren: Michelle McKain of Pittsburgh; Nicole Lucarelli of Falls Church, Va.; Maria Lucarelli of Columbus; and Vince (Cathy) Lucarelli of Ellicott City, Md. The couple’s grandchildren, Geoff McKain, Eli Lucarelli and Mazie Lucarelli, complete the family.

Mr. Lucarelli and the former Marie Palumbo were married Feb. 1, 1969, at St. Lawrence Church in Hillsville, Pa.

Mrs. Lucarelli taught home economics at Mohawk Junior Senior High School for 25 years.

Her husband was a certified public accountant with the Internal Revenue Service for 30 years and served as treasurer for Mahoning Township for 20 years. He also is an avid golfer and a U.S. Army veteran.

The couple are members of Christ the King Parish, Hillsville, where Mrs. Lucarelli served as president of the Christian Mothers and founded the Easter Bread Project, for which she was project chairwoman for 25 years.
