THURSDAY’S OTHER NBA GAMES

Magic 107, Pacers 100

ORLANDO, FLA.

Terrence Ross scored 13 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter and Orlando beat Indiana, handing the Pacers their fourth straight loss. Nikola Vucevic added 17 points and 10 rebounds for Orlando after being selected to the All-Star team for the first time. D.J. Augustin’s 20 points for the Magic included nine free throws in the final 1:26. Orlando broke a four-game losing streak and snapped an eight-game skid against Indiana. Myles Turner had 27 points and seven rebounds for the Pacers, who have not won since losing All-Star guard Victor Oladipo to a knee injury. Bojan Bogdanovic added 21 points for Indiana. Ross came off the bench and shot 11 of 18, including five 3-pointers. He made three steals in the fourth quarter. Vucevic scored six points while the Magic were taking an 11-0 lead. The Pacers erased that deficit quickly, but never went ahead until Darren Collison drove for a layup and three-point play with 9:56 left in the third quarter. That came during a 17-4 run in which Turner scored 10 points, lifting Indiana to a 65-57 lead, its largest of the game. Ross converted two straight steals into points to pull Orlando back in front early in the fourth, and Vucevic’s basket put the Magic ahead for good at 91-89.

Pistons 93, Mavericks 89

DETROIT

Andre Drummond had 24 points and 20 rebounds, and Detroit rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat short-handed Dallas. Before the game, the Mavericks traded Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan and Wesley Matthews to the New York Knicks in a seven-player deal. Dallas acquired Kristaps Porzingis, but for this game the Mavericks were significantly undermanned. In addition to the players they dealt, they also were without star rookie Luka Doncic, who sat out with left ankle soreness. Detroit still had its problems with the depleted Mavericks, falling behind by 14 in the first half. The Pistons were down 74-65 in the fourth before going on a 14-4 run. The game was close the rest of the way. Up by three, Detroit fouled Jalen Brunson with 5.4 seconds left. Brunson made the first free throw and missed the second, and Drummond came up with the rebound and was fouled. A 53 percent free throw shooter on the season before the game, Drummond calmly made both shots.

Bucks 105, Raptors 92

TORONTO

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 19 points, Khris Middleton had 18 and Milwaukee ended Toronto’s season-best home winning streak at 10 games. D.J. Wilson scored a career-high 16 points and Eric Bledsoe had 14 as Milwaukee (37-13) clinched the season series with their third victory in four meetings with Toronto this season. The Bucks stayed atop the Eastern Conference, 11/2 games ahead of the Raptors (37-16). Milwaukee, which has won eight of nine, had not won the season series against Toronto since 2012-13. Pascal Siakam scored 28 points and Kawhi Leonard had 16 for the Raptors, who had not lost at home since Dec. 9 to the Bucks. Toronto’s franchise record for consecutive home victories is 12, done twice. Serge Ibaka had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Toronto, which has lost three of four. Trailing by 24 points midway through the third, the Raptors fought back to 98-92 on a driving layup by Leonard at 1:59 of the fourth. After Leonard couldn’t convert a fast break on Toronto’s next possession, Antetokounmpo made a pair of free throws to push the lead back to eight with 1:24 left. Leonard failed to extend his career-high 22-game streak of scoring at least 20 points. Toronto came in having made at least 12 3-pointers in a season-high five straight games but missed 12 of their first 13 attempts.

Spurs 117, Nets 114

SAN ANTONIO

Derrick White scored a career-high 26 points and San Antonio rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Brooklyn. It was the Spurs’ 16th straight win at home over the Nets. Fresh off his seventh All-Star selection, LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points, including a critical three-point play in the final minute, and 13 rebounds for the Spurs. DeMar DeRozan added 15 points and 10 rebounds in his return from a three-game absence because of a sore left knee. After failing to make the All-Star Game as a reserve, D’Angelo Russell pressed his case to replace injured selection Victor Oladipo. Russell had 25 points, nine assists and four turnovers in 33 minutes for Brooklyn. Joe Harris and DeMarre Carroll had 18 points each for the Nets.
