St. Christine’s Catholic School hosted a school-wide Spelling Bee on Jan. 17.
Students from grades fourth through eighth competed for the title of winner and runner up.
Twenty students competed in the Spelling Bee, with four students from grade competing.
Students were chosen by winning their classroom Spelling Bee competitions.
The spelling bee lasted for 11 rounds before two students were left.
Eighth-grade student Noah Lytle took first place in the competition with the final word martyr.
Sixth-grade student Anthony Yarger was the runner up.
Lytle will go on to compete in the Vindicator Spelling Bee on March 16 at Youngstown State University.
