The Scharvilles honored during surprise party

James and Patricia Scharville of Poland recently were honored for their 50th anniversary during a surprise dinner hosted by their family at Donavito’s in Struthers.

The couple’s children are Aimee (Dennis) Schweers of Poland and Dan (Megan) Scharville of Hudson. Their four grandchildren, Audrey and Adeline Schweers, and Sam and Sophia Scharville, complete their family.

Mr. Scharville married the former Patricia O’Brien on Aug. 23, 1969, at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Farrell, Pa.

Mrs. Scharville was a registered nurse at the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital until she retired in 2000.

Mr. Scharville served as operations coordinator for the Mahoning County Educational Service Center in Canfield until he retired in 1999. He also is Poland Township administrator.

The couple are members of Holy Family Church in Poland.
