TICKETS

Youngstown schools offer season passes

YOUNGSTOWN

Chaney and East high schools are offering season passes for fall sports. Adult price is $35 and student price is $20.

Ticket prices for volleyball and football games are $7 for adults and $4 for students.

There will be a $2 charge for parking this year in the Rayen Stadium lot where East and Chaney play home football games. Programs will be available for $3.

Chaney’s first home game will be against Cardinal Mooney on Thursday. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

East’s first home game will be on Aug. 30 against Liberty.

HOWLAND

Mia Pantalone scored nine points with three aces and made two blocks for the Tigers (2-0). Chloe Schultz made 16 kills and scored nine points while Bailee Beasom made 14 digs. Maddie Sisler made 11 kills and Kathryn Summerfield made 24 assists. For the Cardinals, CJ Sapp made 24 digs while Katie Hough contributed six kills, 12 digs and two blocks. Magen Petty made five kills, six digs and four blocks. JV: Cardinal Mooney, 25-17, 25-21.

South Range 25-25-22-25, Poland 23-22-25-21

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Anna Primavera made 11 kills and 11 digs and Izzy Lamparty added 10 kills for South Range. Emily Irons dished 30 assists. No stats were reported for Poland.

Austintown Fitch 25-25-23-25, East Liverpool 17-21-25-14

AUSTINTOWN

Emma Bartlett led Fitch with 37 assists and 12 digs. Chelsie Wheeler chipped in with 14 kills and two blocks. Cate Maguire added seven kills and two blocks, Ella Sahli had 13 digs and Alyssa Leskovac notched 13 digs, five kills and three aces for the Falcons.

Salem 25-25-25, Ursuline 14-12-17

SALEM

Elly Exline and Jaden Hamilton each had 10 kills for Salem. Rylie Troy added six aces and three kills. No stats were reported for Ursuline.

Mineral Ridge 25-25-25, Sebring 12-8-18

MINERAL RIDGE

Katelyn Lesko led Mineral Ridge (2-0) with nine kills and Danielle Aulet dished 22 assists. Kendra Shields had 11 digs for Sebring.

Lowellville 25-25-25, McDonald 21-8-14

LOWELLVILLE

Kasey Kelly had 16 kills, six points, three aces, six digs and a block for Lowellville. Samantha Kelly added 25 points, seven aces, four kills, three digs, 20 assists and a block for the Rockets. McDonald was led by Maria Rasile with 13 assists and three points. Olivia Booth added nine kills.

Springfield 25-23-25-22-15, Waterloo 10-25-15-25-8

ATWATER

Jennie Snitzel made 15 kills and 13 blocks to lead Springfield. Lyndsey Smith added 11 kills, eight blocks, 15 points and seven aces for the Tigers. Carlee Bacon had 22 digs and Lauren Ranelli had 19 assists and 14 points.

NORTH JACKSON

Grace McDevitt led Jackson-Milton (2-1) with 13 points, 12 kills, and seven blocks. Megan Fultz and Logan Grunder added 10 kills each for the Blue Jays. Bailey Estes had 23 assists. Western Reserve (2-2) was led by Laura Sigworth with 16 points, 26 assists, and two aces. Danielle Vuletich made 17 kills for the Blue Devils.

EAST PALESTINE

Paige Snyder scored 15 points with four aces and made eight kills for the Bulldogs (3-0, 2-0 Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference). Emily Berger scored 14 points with two aces and made 11 kills and one block. Malynn Bistarkey made 10 digs and nine kills while Olivia Figley made 13 kills and three blocks. Morgan Cheurco made 34 assists. For the Clippers (2-1, 1-1), Madison Moser scored 11 points with two aces and made 12 kills and three digs. Maci Linhart also scored 11 points with four aces and she made 15 digs and five kills. Tori Long contributed 16 kills, four digs, five points and three aces. Grace Witmer made 22 assists and had four kills, seven points and two aces. Marissa Makosky had 14 assists, four kills, three digs and seven points. JV: East Palestine, 25-17, 25-13.

Tara Burggaf had 21 points for Bristol. Brook Songer added eight aces, Lindsay Miller had five kills, and Alayna Sines had seven assists for Bristol. JV: Bristol 2-0.

KINSMAN

Grace Popovich made 12 kills and five digs for Badger. Allyson Yauger added 15 digs and four kills for the Braves. Paige Kramar had 21 assists and seven kills.

VIENNA

Sage Neidbalson had 20 points, seven aces, and five kills to lead Newbury (4-0). Grace Laster added 16 digs, 12 points, eight kills and three aces. Malarie Eggleston had 14 kills and Erin Piczer added 19 assists and 12 kills for the Knights.

Boardman’s Cole Congson tracked down the clearance from his own corner kick to assist Tommy Fryda’s goal five minutes into the game. Egan Hare made five saves for the Spartans, who improve to 2-0.

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Quinn Pierson scored two goals and Jackson Yeagley the other for the Raiders (1-0). Matt Lucas made on save to record the shutout. Goalkeeper Max Kemats made 10 saves for the Quakers (0-3).

Crestview 9, Brookfield 0

BROOKFIELD

Ryan Emch collected a hat trick for Crestview (2-0). Jarred Kalina and Cutter Crane each scored two goals. Dale McGoogan and Lucas Schmucker each found the back of the net once. McGoogan also made three saves in goal. Dan Scharmer made 15 saves for Brookfield.

ROOTSTOWN

Aiden Force score the lone goal for the Red Devils off an assist from Jay Frank. Rootstown’s Ivan Martinez had four goals and three assists. Jeremiah Dick had two goals and two assists and Gabe Oropesa and Michael Farkash each scored once. Kaiden Anthony made 10 saves in defeat.
