Easterseals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.

Wednesday, Aug. 21: Meatloaf with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, juice, whole-grain bread and milk

Thursday, Aug. 22: Egg frittata, broccoli, sliced potatoes, pineapple, whole-grain English muffin and milk

Friday, Aug. 23: Potato pirogi with butter and onion, mixed vegetables, cooked carrots, juice, whole-grain bread and milk

Monday, Aug. 26: Sausage patty, whole-grain English muffin, cooked carrots, chive potato wedges, pineapple and milk

Tuesday, Aug. 27: Soft taco on whole-grain wrap, pinto beans, corn, fruit, whole-grain bread and milk

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at seven locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Aug. 21: Sweet sausage with pepper sauce on a bun (alt.: chicken fajita strips), Italian blend vegetables, cheesy hashbrowns, applesauce, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Thursday, Aug. 22: Chicken Parmesan (alt.: meat sauce), rotini with sauce, dinner roll with margarine, green beans, tossed salad with Italian dressing, fruit juice, chocolate chip cupcake or angel food cake and milk

Friday, Aug. 23: Pork with dijon mushroom sauce (alt.: salmon), wheat bread with margarine, wild rice, Brussels sprouts, fresh baby carrots with ranch dressing, pineapple tidbits, regular or sugar-free pudding and milk

Monday, Aug. 26: Breaded chicken cutlet (alt.: crab cake), wheat bread with margarine, au gratin potatoes, mixed vegetables, apricots, sherbet or graham crackers and milk
