v Brier Hill Italian Festival, 4 p.m. to midnight: Topping off tonight’s schedule at this lively neighborhood festival are a morra contest at 7:30 p.m. and music by Dom Tocco and Brotherhood at 9 p.m. Admission is free. It’s at the corner of Calvin and Victoria streets in the Brier Hill neighborhood.

v “Franken Fabulous,” 8 p.m.: It’s the premiere of this campy, comic musical about an intern who winds up with the wrong doctor ($15, $10 for senior citizens and students). It’s presented by Rust Belt Theater Company at Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-507-2358.

“What Would You Do?” (9 p.m., ABC): Tonight’s episode features a scenario inspired by the opioid epidemic and by stories of insensitive selfies, including one a woman took with emergency workers rescuing a man from the Brooklyn Bridge.

Lenny Gomulka polka band coming to banquet center

EDINBURG, PA.

Polka music star Lenny Gomulka and Chicago Push, the 12-time Grammy nominee, will come to the Gatherings Banquet Center, 2552 Benjamin Franklin Highway (U.S. route 422) from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 25. The banquet hall is located behind Town and Country bar and grille, three miles east of the state line.

The show is presented by Peppermint Records. Admission is $15. Call 330-782-2222 for reservations. Parking is free. This is not a BYOB event. Food and beverages will be available.

Gomulka is a 12-time Grammy nominee, and has won numberous awards from the International Polka Association and the Cleveland-based United States Polka Association.

Truck show returns to benefit project

CORTLAND

The Cortland Veterans Memorial Committee’s third annual Truck Show will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday on West Main Street. The theme is “Trucks Through Time,” with entries and trophies in 14 classes by decade, and additional classes for military, working trucks, extreme off-road and SUV models.

Admission is free for spectators; truck entry fee is $10. All proceeds will benefit the Veterans Memorial project. The first 100 entries will receive a dash plaque. The event will also include drawings and a lawn mower raffle.
