Shepherd of the Valley, 500 McKinley Ave., will host a career fair specifically seeking direct care staff for its skilled nursing and assisted living facilities from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday. Open interviews will be conducted. Flexible 8 and 12 hour shifts and day and evening schedules will look to be filled during this event. Farmers Market to host band Monday evening

The Austintown Farmers Market will host the Canfield Community Concert Band on Monday. The market will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. and the band will play from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The market will feature food, crafts and produce vendors as well as free yoga at 6 p.m., free kids’ crafts, and a free healthy cooking demo. Auxiliary to host fashion show, auction

The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will host a fashion show and auction at 11 a.m. at the Holiday Inn on Saturday. This year’s theme is “City Girls in Pearls.” Chelsea Spears of WKBN-TV 27 First News will be the master of ceremonies. The auxiliary is in the process of raising money to help with the renovation of the soup kitchen at the Salvation Army facility located on Glenwood Avenue in Youngstown. The soup kitchen serves more than 150 meals per day to those in need. Tickets for auction items and door prizes will be available.

Proceeds will benefit the after-school programs, the soup kitchen and the Symposium on Human Trafficking that will be hosted at Youngstown State University on Oct. 25.
