Salem Community Theatre presents ‘Singin’ in the Rain’

Salem Community Theatre will present the musical “Singin’ in the Rain” for two-consecutive weekends, beginning Friday.
Each scene and song in included in Salem’s production, including the landmark title number – complete with an onstage rainstorm.
“Singin’ in the Rain” features snappy dialog and a hit parade score of Hollywood standards. The plot revolves around a leading man and a starlet, who are a hot item – but behind the scenes, things aren’t what them seem.
The show is directed by Justin Steele, with choreographers Tessa Wells and Macey Stancato.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. The theater is at 490 E. State St.,downtown.
Tickets are $15 ($11 for seniors, $9 for students, $5 for children 5 and under) and can be purchased in advance by calling 330-332-9688, ext. 3, or at salemcommunitytheatre.ticketleap.com.
