Vintage toy buyer is in town today and Tuesday

AUSTINTOWN — Joel Magee, a vintage toy expert who appears on the History Channel show “Pawn Stars,” will host a vintage toy buying show today and Tuesday at the Hampton Inn, 880 North Canfield-Niles Road. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission and parking are free.

Dubbed America’s Toy Scout, Magee will offer on-the-spot cash payments for popular toys from the 20th century and earlier.

Magee said he expects people to bring Pez dispensers, Star Wars and Beatles memorabilia, superhero figurines, baseball cards, 1940-60s comic books, as well as Shirley Temple dolls, Hot Wheels and Hummel figurines. “The types of toys and memorabilia that people dust off and bring to the show are too diverse to list,” he said.
