The Mill Creek Metro Park hosted a Dragonfly Hunt event out of the Ford Nature Center the first week of July.

Children were able to walk through the center, locating the 20 photos of the insect hidden within the complex.

Along with the photos were facts about them, with the goal of being both fun and educational.

If children were able to locate all 20 pictures they were able to get a small prize, including pencils or pieces of candy.

After the hunt, the park encouraged families to take a hike outside, searching for real dragonflies.

The Ford Nature Center will host the next scavenger hunt starting on Aug. 6, posting photos of butterflies throughout the complex.
