Jury selection underway in 2018 Youngstown murder case

YOUNGSTOWN — Jury selection is underway in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court before Judge Maureen Sweeney for a man accused of shooting a Goleta Avenue woman to death in June 2018 after she answered a knock on her door.

Jesse Williams, 52, faces a charge of aggravated murder for the death of Diane Dent, 62, at her home.

Police said Williams was at the home looking for Dent's son, who had been in a fight the night before.
