The Canfield library invited adults and teens to create their own hand-sewn felt pouch to keep their phones and tablets safe and sound on July 24. With the help of Adult Librarian Assistant Taylor Swan, participants created a stylish piece for their electronics.

“Welcome. Tonight we have a very simple craft for you. You can make a big pouch for a tablet or a small pouch for a phone,” Swan said in welcoming participants.

Swan precut pieces of felt and string for participants to make their pouches. She also provided buttons as a decorative touch.

While providing written instructions, Swan also demonstrated how to create the pouch and was available to help participants individually if needed. Swan also played a variety of music throughout the event for attendees to enjoy.
