AUGUST

Friday — The 35th annual Pizza Splash 5K at the Trumbull Family Fitness Center in Warren. Registration is 5:30 p.m. with the race at 7 p.m. Cost is $18 prior to day of the race. Race day cost is $20. Online registration can be completed on gopherarun.com. Top three male and female winners, masters and grandmasters will receive prize money. Awards will be given to top three in each age group.

Saturday — Third annual Run With a Mission 5K, 1-Mile Fun Walk and Fun Kids Race at New Life Church. 2250 E. Western Reserve Rd. in Poland. Race-day registration at 7:30 a.m. Kids race at 8:45 a.m. The 5K and 1-mile walk begin at 9 a.m. Call 330-787-2516 for more information.

25 — The 10th annual Panerathon at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown. Registration opens at 8 a.m. The 10K run/walk starts at 10 a.m. The two-mile run/walk starts at 10:05 a.m. The Kids Run will begin at 11:30 a.m. Top five finishers in the 10k will receive cash prizes along with top three in the mile. The 40 and over masters, 50 and over grandmasters and 60 and over seniormasters will receive $75. Cost is $30 for pre-registration and $35 race day for 10k and $25 pre-registration and $30 race day for two mile. Team cost $20 per individual team member. Individual pre-registration deadline is Aug. 21, team pre-registration deadline is Aug. 19 and race day registration begins at 8 a.m.

SEPTEMBER

22 — 49th Lordstown Apple Cider Festival 5K at 10 a.m. Plaques will be given to the top three finishers in the men’s and women’s divisions. New age classes, with medals given for the top three finishers for age groups starting at age 14 through 70 and above, both male and female. T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registrants. The advanced registration fee is $17. Advanced registrations should be postmarked prior to Sept. 5. Registration is available on the day of the race at a cost of $20. Check-in and registration is from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Lordstown High School, 1824 Salt Springs Road SW in Lordstown.
