‘Kitchen memories’ lecture and display

CANFIELD

Laura Zeh-Vazquez, curator of the Canfield Historical Society will present “Kitchen Memories,” an interactive showcase and lecture, at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Bond House, 44 W. Main St. The free lecture will discuss how American kitchens have evolved through different eras and will highlight the “helpful’’ tools of the housewife. Vazquez will showcase the society’s collection of vintage kitchen utensils and culinary antiques.

“Kitchens are where many of our memories are made,” said Vazquez. “I am encouraging those who attend to bring a show-and-tell kitchen memory of their own. A picture maybe, a well-used and loved utensil that belonged to their parent or grandparent, a favorite family recipe or perhaps a story to share.”

Pre-registration is not necessary. For information, call 330-533-3458.
