Two more players with Mahoning Valley ties signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents Saturday night.
Youngstown State center Vitas Hrynkiewicz has signed with the defending NFC champion Los Angeles Rams and running back L.J. Scott, a Hubbard High School graduate, signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Hrynkiewicz, a native of Somerset, N.J., was a three-year starter on the Penguins’ offensive line and an All-Missouri Valley Football Conference lineman. Hrynkiewicz was named All-Missouri Valley Athletic Conference second-team in 2017 and 2018.
The 6-1, 225-pound Scott ran for 2,855 yards and 25 touchdowns in four seasons at Michigan State. He also caught 43 passes for 403 yards and two TDs. Scott ran for a combined 2,591 yards and 25 TDs in his first three seasons with the Spartans, but an ankle injury limited him to just five games and 79 carries in 2018.
Scott initially received an injury redshirt after sitting out the balance of his senior season, but later elected to enter the draft.
Scott joins Austintown Fitch’s Darrin Hall in the AFC North. Hall, who ran for 2,189 yards and 21 touchdowns in 48 games at Pittsburgh, signed with the Cleveland Browns after the conclusion of the three-day NFL draft.
