YOUNGSTOWN

Cooper Vance had two hits including a double and he scored three runs. Brandon Turcola (3-0) tossed a one-hitter, striking out seven and walking none. In the second game, Justin Hooley (1-0) tossed a one-hitter, striking out four and walking none. Cameron Wischerman’s two hits included a double and Connor Elliott doubled for the Bulldogs (10-7).

Warren JFK 19, Cardinal Mooney 9

WARREN

Isaac Hadley had a hit and four RBI to lead JFK. Alex Hernandez added three hits and three RBI for the Eagles. Mooney was led by Jodan Sheehan and AJ Pepperney with two hits and three RBI each.

McDonald 11, Waterloo 2

MCDONALD

Ryan Scala allowed two runs on five hits and three walks in a complete-game win. Riley Lewis had three RBIs for the Blue Devils while Anthony Tamburro and Andrew Cupan each had two. Tamburro hit a single and a double. Tucker Brown had two hits and two RBIs for the Vikings while Matthew Deangelis had a single and a run scored. Luke Simons and Gavin English each recorded a hit.

Jackson-Milton 18, Chaney 6

AUSTINTOWN

Aaren Landis had two hits and scored four runs for the Blue Jays (7-9), He drove in four runs and stole four bases.

Heartland Christian 18, Lordstown 2

LORDSTOWN

Luke Rafferty struck out three and allowed three hits and three walks in 31/3 innings of the win. Kaiden Anthony allowed seven hits and five walks, striking out five in three innings for the Red Devils. Ethan Gearheart had an RBI for Lordstown. Aaron Gault hit a single and a double with six RBIs for the Lions (6-8). Caleb Graft had two singles, a double and two RBIs. Joel Morgan had three singles and drove in a run. Zach Labon had a single, a double and drove in two. Sean Gilmore had a hit and two RBIs.

Bristol 3, Newbury 2

BRISTOLVILLE

Mike Wieber hit a walkoff, two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning. Bristol’s Seth Mooney tied the game at 2 in the seventh with a two-run double. Nick Church and Wiebe had two hits apiece. Owen Mansfield had two hits, including a double for the Black Knights. John Tropf took the loss, allowing two walks and striking out 14 in eight innings pitched. Gage Elza struck out nine and walked one in 31/3 innings of relief for the Panthers.

Mathews 11, Badger 0

KINSMAN

Jackson Iceman struck out three without a walk the win. Jake Miller hit two doubles for the Mustangs (13-1) while Brandon Smith and Gabe Canter each had one. Canter had three RBIs and Iceman and Miller had two apiece. Brad Blaney took the loss for the Braves, striking out one with five walks. Logan Lendak hit a double for the Braves.

South Range 13, Millennium (NY) 1

MYRTLE BEACH, SC

Dylan Dominguez led South Range (13-3) with a double and a triple, driving in three runs. Kris Scandy had a pair of hits and two RBI and Josh Stear drove in two. Jake Gehring and Brandon Mikos added two hits each for the Raiders. Nick Habeth pitched a complete game, striking out one in five innings.

Western Reserve 12, Southeast 0

BERLIN CENTER

Brycen Jackson drove in three runs to lead the Western Reserve (9-6) offense. Nick Niemi added thee hits and an RBI. Dan Windham was the winning pitcher for the Blue Devils, striking out six and allowing just one hit. Austin Ranker had the only hit of the game for Southeast.

Ursuline 11, Fort LeBouef (Pa.) 1

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.

Emma Ericson (8-0) and Emily Holland threw a combined two-hitter with 10 strikeouts for the Irish (15-2). Julia Nutter had three hits, including two doubles and three RBIs. Gia Caldrone added three hits and two RBIs while Destiny Goodnight had three hits and three runs scored. Holland doubled for the Ursuline.

Louisville 10, Austintown Fitch 2

LOUISVILLE

Sarah Cantley and Kaycee Ollis pitched for Louisville in the win. Kayla Schubert and Jenna Chmelik worked in the circle for the Falcons. Kaitlyn Evanko pitched 32/3 innings but received a no-decision. Lainie Simons hit a home run for the Falcons while Maddy Taylor doubled. Alex Fankauser hit a home run with three RBIs for the Leopards. Lexi Zavarelle and Kaylee Nolte each had a double and a single. Zavarelle also had an RBI.

Springfield 15-9, Sebring 1-0

SEBRING

Kaelen Yemma led the Tigers with three hits, four RBIs and two runs scored. Molly Pontius’two hits included a solo homer. She drove in two runs and scored twice. Carlee Bacon contributed two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored. Jacqueline Kish and Abby Joseph each hit a pair of singles. Kish scored three runs and Joseph tossed a three-hitter, striking out 10 and walking none. In the second game, Pontius had two doubles and a single to drive in three runs. She scored twice for Tigers (11-6, 8-4 MVAC). Carlee Bacon’s two hits included a triple. Joseph and Makenzy Capouellez both had two hits. Kish tossed a one-hitter, striking out five and hitting two batters.

West Branch 4, Salem 1

SALEM

Winning pitcher Jordan Anderson’s three hits included a homer and she drove in three runs. She struck out four and walked four. Sydney Mercer’s two hits included a double. Grace Heath also doubled and Sam Morris drove in the other run for the Warriors (18-2, 8-1 Eastern Buckeye Conference). For the Quakers (10-5), Bailey Thorn had two hit and Meg Rossero had an RBI.

Mathews 13, Badger 5

KINSMAN

Savanna Eggens struck out 12 in the win. Eggens allowed five runs — four earned — on eight hits without a walk for the Mustangs. Bella Spano had two RBIs for Mathews while Hunter Bengala allowed 13 runs — seven earned — on nine hits and five walks, striking out nine in the loss. Bengala and Samantha Pykare had two RBIs each for Badger.

Ashtabula Lakeside 16, Newbury 2

Emma Bock had two hits to lead Newbury. Haley Hamilton had a single, double and triple and Madison Fink had two hits for the Black Knights.
