Mahoning Valley Amateur Radio Association is celebrating 100 years of amateur radio this year. The club is asking any former members or anyone with information about former members to reply. Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will host its May 14 meeting at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Networking will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30. The menu will include creamed chicken over biscuits, stuffed pork chop, mashed potato, California blend vegetables, tossed salad, applesauce, gelatin, dessert, coffee and tea. Cost is $18 per person. Northeast District of the American Association of University Women will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4400 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. CLASSES

USA Dance will offer West Coast Swing lessons and general dancing May 19 at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Trumbull County Travel Club opened its summer season with a brown bag day outing, visiting six stops with lunch included at Amish Door Restaurant. Information for the June, August and November day trips was distributed as well as information on the Rapid City, S.D., vacation scheduled for Sept. 9-17. Cleveland is the feature of the June 19 “Let’s Explore Ohio” day trip. There are nine seats remaining. The Aug. 14 trip will showcase the oddities of the Canton area. The September vacation to South Dakota has 10 seats remaining. The Nov. 2 day outing will be a ginger bread tour in Pennsylvania. The club is open to anyone over the age of 21. Be Kind To Your Mind, a Christian group, will meet at The Way Station, state Route 14, Columbiana, on Monday. This will be the final session and will include prayer, meditation, mindfulness and other resources for healing the mind and body. It will be led by Judy A. Shields, a counselor at Total Care Psychological Services in Boardman. Shields has conducted many groups at Beatitude House and other local organizations.
