Eric Davis scattered nine hits and struck out six in working out of trouble to complete a shutout for the Wildcats. Billy Opritza and Brandon Breznai each had two hits and two RBIs for Struthers, which broke up a scoreless tie with a run in the fourth and then added two runs each in the fifth, sixth and seventh. Bryce Owen had three hits for Salem.

Kaedyn Sutton struck out seven in a complete game, allowing four hits and two walks for the Rebels (16-3). Skyler Mattern RBI double and Shianna Mathes bunted in a run for Crestview. Sutton had two hits and a sacrifice fly while Haley Eskra had two hits.

PIGEON FORGE, TENN.

Jenna McClish had three hits including a home run. Taylor Thorpe and Bailee Thorn each had two hits for Salem (8-4). Thorpe and Thore each hit a home run. Elly Exline had three hit while Hannah Kelm and Madison Markovich added two. Hayden Carner tripled. Thorpe pitched a six-inning complete game for the win, striking out 13.

Elly Exline hit a home run and singled for the Quakers (9-4). Brooke Veglia provided two triples. Bailee Thorn had two hits and Hayden Carner doubled. Taylor Thorpe pitched the first two innings, striking out six. Freshmen Rylie Troy pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts and Elly Exline struck out the side to cap the five-inning game.
