The Poland Schools Fund for Educational Excellence awarded $4,600 to Poland teachers on April 1.

“The Poland Schools Foundation is committed to the education of our students, and our Mini-Grant Program helps provide opportunities for educators to go above and beyond in their teaching professions,” said Luke Politsky, President of the PSFEE.

The PSFEE funded seven projects this school year which allowed teachers to create unique projects within their curriculums.

The check was presented to teachers whose projects were selected at a ceremony on April 1.

Teachers were then able to share more information about their chosen projects.

This years projects included a music technology workstation that provides students with the opportunity to compose, record, mix and edit music, a Skype Lab, which gives students the chance to meet scientists virtually, robots to teach coding and problem-solving in the STEM and eighth-grade science classrooms, and more.

Teachers will use the money to purchase supplies they need and incorporate them into the classroom throughout the year.

Any teacher from the Poland school district is eligible to apply for a portion of the grant money.
