Lady Spartans track team slays Lakeside Lady Dragons

The Boardman Lady Spartans track team improved to 6-0 on the season after defeating Lakeside with a score of 119-17.

The Lady Spartans won 16 of the 17 events on the evening.

First place finishes included the 4x800 team of Alayna Cuevas, Sophia McGee, Bailey Moore and Julia Gorby in 10:48; Kaylin Burkey in the 100 hurdles in 17.2; Bella Alvarico in the 100 in 13.3; Emily Carnahan with a 33-1.75 effort in the shot put; the 4x200 relay team of Dreā€™Ana Elliott, Haley Ho, Jodran Solmen and Salina Jackson in 2:01; Cuevas in the 1600 in 5:53; Raegan Burkey in the 400 and 200 in 61.7 and 28.3; Lanny Kilpatrick in the high jump and pole vault with 4-8 and eight efforts; Kennedy Page in the long jump with a 14-11.25 jump; Jordan Solmen in the 300 hurdles in 52.7; Gina Gabriele in the 800 in 2:41.7; Sophia McGee in the 3200 in 13:23.2 and Jackson, Hannah Ryan, Moore and Regan Burkey in the 4x400 in 4:32.9.

Lady Spartans with second place finishes included Keimanni Boyd in the 100 hurdles; Tierra Stevenson in the 100; Isabelle Dwyer in the 1600 and 800; Emma Tokarsky in the 400; Ho in the high jump; Katie Stamp in the 300 hurdles; Julia Schrembeck in the 200; Shayne Harris in the 3200 and Kenzie Widrig in the pole vault.

Lady Spartans scoring third place finishes included Page in the 100, Gina Gabriele in the 1600; Schrembeck in the 400; Ryleigh Neill in the high jump; Brigita Ositis in the discus and long jump; Ryan in the 800; Elliott in the 200 and Tara Pasvanis in the pole vault.

Leading scorers on the season are Kaylin Burkey with 69, Raegan Burkey with 43.75 and Emily Carnahan with 36.
