THURSDAY

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will host Supper at the Corner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The meal is free as a community outreach of the church. Donations are accepted to continue the program.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will host a fish dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. Meals feature a choice of haddock, chicken or shrimp with fries, coleslaw and a roll for $10.50. Pirogi or an extra piece of fish are $4.50; haluski for $3.50; and a child’s dinner is $5.50. Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, will offer beer-battered haddock or shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost for adults is $12 and $7 for children age 10 and younger. Dinners include fresh-cut fries, coleslaw and green beans. An extra fillet (with dinner purchase) is $5 and shrimp a la carte (approximately 16 pieces) is $6. Boy Scout Troop 71 will host its 55th annual Good Friday all-you-can-eat-fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Western Reserve High School, 13850 W. Akron-Canfield Road, Berlin Center. Prepared and served by the members of the troop, this dinner costs $12 for adults, $6 for children age 6 to 12 and free for those under 5. Dessert is limited to one per person. Dine-in or takeout.

Canfield Lions will host a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish, french fries, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or haluski and coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverage. Cost is $12 and will be takeout or dine-in.

Girard Eagles Aerie 2172, 26 W. Wilson Ave., will host a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday. Menu consists of fried or baked fish, french fries, coleslaw and macaroni and cheese or haluski. Cost is $10 and there will be basket and 50-50 raffles.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $2. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road SE, Warren, will serve Lenten fish dinners from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Menu includes baked or fried fish, macaroni and cheese or baked potato, applesauce, coleslaw, green beans, bread and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Carryout will be available.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, will host a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Menu includes fried or baked haddock, fried shrimp, coleslaw or applesauce, bread and butter, choice of two sides, assorted desserts and beverages. There will be a complimentary pasta and pizza table with the purchase of adult eat-in dinners only. Cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children under age 12. Lowellville United Methodist Church, 190 W. Wood St., will host a pasta fagioli sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $7 per quart and includes Italian bread and butter. Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave., Youngstown, will host a fish fry from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $10 and includes fish, macaroni and cheese, green beans, bread and dessert.

St. Christine Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will host from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. or until sold out. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Extra sides are $2. Menu includes choice of fried haddock, baked haddock or fried shrimp or French fries, haluski, pirogi, green beans and macaroni and cheese. Meals also include coleslaw, bread with butter and dessert. St. Nicholas Church, 766 Fifth St., Struthers, will host takeout only pasta fagioli and haluski from 1 to 4 p.m. or until sold out, in the great hall. Pasta fagioli will be $6 per quart and haluski (made with homemade spaetzle) will be $8 per quart. No need to get out of the car. Pull up under the awning and the order will be brought out.

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., will host its Easter bake sale from 6 to 8 p.m. Easter pascha, Easter bread, strudel and kolachi will be available and will be first come, first-served as quantities are limited. Prices vary from $7 to $20.

Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave , Youngstown, will host its annual homemade Easter candy sale until Thursday. The sale will feature homemade Ω eggs. Flavors include crispy, creamy coconut, peanut, pretzel, peanut butter, s’mores and turtles. Cost is $1 per egg or 11 for $10. There also will be decorated suckers and solid bodies at various prices. Holy Apostles Parish, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 3 p.m. April 28 in the social hall. Proceeds benefit the Deputy John “Sonny” Litch Memorial Scholarship Fund. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children age 12 and younger. No tickets will be sold at the door. Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner from noon to 3 p.m. April 28. Dinner will include sauce, meatballs, salad, Italian bread, coffee, tea and dessert. Takeout will be available. Cost is $8 in advance ($9 at the door), $5 for children ages 3 to 12 and children younger than 3 eat for free. Proceeds benefit the MLLC Community Garden.

Newton Falls Kiwanis Club will sponsor its annual Steak Cookout Benefit from 4 to 7 p.m. April 27 at Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road. Dinner is $15 and includes steak, salad, potato, corn, dessert and beverage. Proceeds benefit the club’s youth projects. Pre-sale ticket purchases are preferred by calling any Kiwanis member or Bob at 330-872-3854. Tickets will be available at the door. Takeout will be available. There will be a 50-50 raffle, and pre-sale orders will be taken for geraniums.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. April 27. The meal consists of eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. Our Lady of the Lakes Men’s Club will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. April 28 at St. James Church hall, 50 Rosemont Road, North Jackson. Cost is $9 for adults and $6 for children younger than 11. Salads, homemade desserts and drinks are included. Carryout will be available.

St. Lucy’s Cultural Society will host a handmade spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. April 28 at the Palermo Center, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Menu includes spaghetti with homemade sauce, homemade meatballs, salad, bread and butter, cake and coffee. Take out will be available. Participants can take containers or purchase them for 50 cents each.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road (state Route 62), Canfield, will host a Swiss steak dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out May 2. Menu includes Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, applesauce and dessert. Cost $10. This dinner will be takeout only due to the garage sale. Dinners will resume in September.
