The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence has recognized ABA Therapy Solutions, 125 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, with a preliminary accreditation which acknowledges the organization as a behavioral-service provider dedicated to continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis.

Stop-smoking program

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

The New Castle Community YMCA, 20 W. Washington St., is offering a “Quit and Get Fit” smoking-cessation program.

The six-week program includes six classes, a free four-week supply of nicotine replacement therapy, such as gum, patches or lozenges, and a free YMCA membership for the duration of the program.

Participants meet from noon to 1:15 p.m. Thursdays from April 25 to May 30. The program is free and open to adults 18 and older who want to quit using tobacco, but registration is required. Call Katie Gassner at 724-622-1550, ext. 147.

Free screenings

WARREN

St. Joseph Cancer Care Center, 667 Eastland Ave., will have free skin-cancer screenings from 5 to 7 p.m. May 7. Screenings are by appointment only. Call 330-480-3183.

ONE Health doctor

Dr. Aron Blecher, former chief resident at St. Elizabeth Hospital, has joined ONE Health Ohio, where he will be providing services at the Youngstown Community Health Center, 726 Wick Ave., Youngstown, and the Lloyd McCoy Health Center, 1977 Niles Road SE, Warren. Lyme Disease Symposium
