Poland Union preschoolers celebrated St. Patrick’s day by giving back to the community.

Students in Joye Bucci’s preschool class with help from student teacher Amber Wagner created crafts to donate to a local nursing home.

Bucci said students created 40 shamrock crafts which were given to Meridian Arms nursing home for the residents to enjoy.

“The residents loved them,” Bucci said.

Wagner delivered the shamrocks to residents to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

“The children also enjoyed some music and dance throughout the day,” Bucci said.

She explained that Wagner came up with the idea as a way to do something fun but give back to the community.

“It’s just a fun way to get into the holiday season,” Bucci said.
