Mill Creek Park hosted the second annual Lunch with a Leprechaun event March 9 at Fellows Riverside Garden.

Jack Kravitz, the owner of Kravitz Garden Caf , hosted the event, including a variety of Irish food provided by the caf .

“It’s just a fun, relaxed family friendly event,” Kravitz said.

The menu consisted of corned beef, vegetarian cabbage, reubens and Irish brownies and cheesecake for desert.

Kravitz also hosted a variety of entertainment including the magician Seamus O’Foole.

The band County Mayo and the Burke Irish Dancers also performed for community members.

“This kicks off our annual corn beef fest, so its just a great way to get into the spirit,” Kravitz said.

He said that the event sold out with 150 community members in attendance.

“We have a lot more kids in attendance this year which is great, because we really want to have a family atmosphere,” Kravitz said.

Attendees enjoyed lunch as they listened to classic Irish music.

Children in attendance then participated in the parade of the leprechauns before settling in to watch a magic show.

“We have events going on all next week and throughout the weekend,” Kravitz said. “This is really the beginning of our big annual celebration.”
