Rust Belt offers new musical comedy

The Rust Belt Theater Company will present its new musical comedy, “Jesus vs. Zombies,” Friday and Saturday, and again April 19, 20, 26 and 27, each night at 8 p.m.

The play, written by Robert Dennick Joki and Josh Taylor, follows a struggling community theater that is looking for its next big show.

The plot deals with the theater group having to choose between a gospel inspired play that will appeal to conservative theatergoers or a zombie bloodbath extravaganza that will attract the alternative crowd.

The cast includes Kage Coven, Janelle Yohman, Lisa Torrence, Alicia Royer, Celena Coven, Josh Yohman, Amanda Rudnytsky, Heather Powell, Wesley T. Miller, Samuel Mentzer, Brooke Nobbs, Jude Mikulich and Abigail Kremm.
