YSU’s Glenn earns HL batter of the week title

Youngstown State junior third baseman Blaze Glenn has been named the Nike Horizon League Batter of the Week for the period of April 1-7, the league office announced on Monday.

It is the second time this season that Glenn has earned the league’s weekly offensive award. He was also the Batter of the Week on Feb. 25 after the second week of the season.

Glenn was 10-for-16 at the plate, leading the Penguins to three wins in four games last week. He hit seven singles, a double and two home runs while driving in eight runs. He posted a .625 batting average, a .714 on-base percentage and a 1.063 slugging percentage for the week.
