HOWLAND

Tyler Peterson struck out seven in a complete-game two-hitter for Boardman. Braden Gebhardt took the loss, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks. Gebhardt struck out eight in five innings. Mike Fetsko, Travis Harvey, Dylan Gurski and Cam Kreps drove in runs for the Spartans. Frankie Manios and Josh McCleery recorded hits for the Tigers.

Austintown Fitch 6, Warren Harding 0

WARREN

Trey Giannini, Jake Lawrence, and Alarik Sierra all went 1 for 3 with an RBI for Austintown Fitch. Devin Higginbotham threw the complete game, allowing just three hits and striking out six for the Falcons. Warren Harding stats were not reported.

South Range 3, Hubbard 0

HUBBARD

Jake Gehring struck out 13 in a complete-game win for the Raiders. Gehring allowed five hits and walked two. Joey Barr struck out six while allowing four hits and four walks in a complete game for the Eagles. Trey Pancake hit a double for South Range (6-1, 4-1 Northeast 8) and Evan Jarvis doubled for the Eagles (5-6, 2-3).

CORTLAND

Braeden O’Shaughnessy had three hits including a triple and drove in a run. Winning pitcher Braden Olson tossed a five-hitter, striking out seven and walking none. He had three hits and scored twice. MJ Farber had two hits. For Lakeview, Brandon Kilpatrick had two hits and N. Demonica doubled.

Niles 19, Struthers 3

STRUTHERS

Niles broke the game open with a four-run second inning and an eight-run third to lead 13-3. David Mays went 3 for 4 with four RBIs for Niles. Zack Leonard and Nick Guarnieri drove in three runs each. Chase Sudzina and Joe Gallo both drove in a pair of runs. Corbin Foy allowed three runs on five hits and six walks for the Red Dragons. Foy struck out six in five innings pitched. Robert Tomko took the loss, allowing 10 runs — five earned — on five hits and three walks. Billy Opritza drove in all three runs for the Wildcats.

Girard 7, Jefferson 4

GIRARD

Braydon Freeland went 2 for 4 with a pair of RBIs for Girard. Brady Hunkus, Nick DeGregory, Anthony Cortese and Jayden Maggs drove in one run each for the Indians. Gary Ghiz had two RBIs while Braydon Throop and Chase Sparks each drove in a run. Sparks too the loss for the Falcons, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks in 12/3 innings pitched. Freeland got the win, allowing one run on five hits and two walks in four innings.

Heartland Christian 9, Western Reserve 8

BERLIN CENTER

Devin Sirota made a leaping grab in left field to kill Western Reserve’s rally in the seventh. Heartland Christian (4-1) lead 9-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning. Caleb Graft was the winning pitcher, giving up no runs, one hit and two walks through the first five innings, striking out five. Aaron Gault hit two doubles and Tom Kling hit a triple. Cody Wise had two hits and an RBI for Western Reserve (5-1). Wise took the loss for the Blue Devils.

McDonald 8, Badger 3

KINSMAN

Anthony Tamburro’s two hits included a double and drove in three runs for the Blue Devils. Tyler Tamburro had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Tanner Matig had four hits. For the Braves, T. Steh had two hits.

Crestview 12, Campbell 0

EAST FAIRFIELD

Tyler Hurd (3-0) tossed a one-hitter, striking out six for the Rebels (7-2, All-American Conference Blue). Devin Turvey hit two doubles and drove in a run. Keith Berger drove in three runs and Ryan Sherrill two. Mikial Torres had the lone hit for Campbell.

Jackson-Milton 10, East 0

NORTH JACKSON

Nick Rich threw a five-inning 1-hitter, striking out five and walking one. Jeremy Seka and Frankie Prozy each had a hit and Aaren Landis had two RBIs for Jackson-Milton (3-5). East’s Carlos Rosa broke up the no-hit bid.

Lisbon 4, Columbiana 2

COLUMBIANA

Logan Bell (2-0) allowed three hits and two runs over six innings. He drove in a run with a sacrifice fly for the Blue Devils (3-5, 3-2 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference). Justin Sweeney earned the save and had two hits. For the Clippers, Evan Kenneally, Matt Mazei, Erik Hopfenziz and Brady Dixon had hits, with Mazei driving in a run. Chase Franken (2-1) allowed three hits and struck put seven.

Mathews 4, Pymatuning Valley 0

VIENNA

Zach Rhodanz tossed a three-hit shutout, striking out 15 and walking two for the Blue Devils (5-1). Adam Wibert, Jake Miller and Jackson Iceman each had two hits. The latter two had doubles. For Pymatuning Valley, Robert Verba doubled.

Bristol 5, Windham 4

BRISTOLVILLE

Nick Church got the win for Bristol in relief. Jake Eye struck out nine while taking the loss for Windham and had three hits at the plate.

Hickory 12, Sharon 4

SHARON, PA.

Hickory’s Asher Payton hit a three-run double and Hayden Gallagher got the win for the Hornets.

Austintown Fitch 10, Warren Harding 0

WARREN

Maddy Taylor had three singles and two RBIs for Austintown Fitch. Teammate Ashley Fuller had a single and a double with two RBIs. Abby Brown and Jenna Chmelik each had two singles and drove in a pair. Lainie Simons hit a double with an RBI and Kayla Kelty had two singles. Karlie Hileman hit a double and Kennedy Rose had a hit for Warren Harding. Lydia Spalding, Jenna Chmelik and Kaitlyn Evanko pitched for the Falcons (5-4, 4-1 All-American Conference Red) in a five-inning win. Natalie Stanton and Karlie Hileman pitched for the Raiders.

Madison Lester struck out seven and walked three in a no-hitter. Madison Osborne allowed 11 runs — nine earned — on 13 hits and three walks while striking out three. Alicia Saxton, Lauren Maughan, Kathryn O’Horo and Morgan Cherne each drove in a pair of runs. Ashley Saxton and Lester each drove in a run.

South Range 3, Hubbard 1

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Bree Kohler struck out 12 and walked three in a two-hitter for the Raiders (5-3, 3-2 NE8). Hailey Broyle recorded five strikeouts and walked two for Hubbard. Gillian Ftrecmaski hit a solo home run and Kohler hit a double. Sara Bowser drove in the Eagles (4-3, 3-2) on an RBI single.

Poland 15, Lakeview 1

CORTLAND

KaiLi Gross threw a one-hitter to improve to 3-0 and lift Poland to 8-0. Gross struck out seven, had zero walks and the lone run was unearned. At the plate, she hit a two-run home run. Emily Denny was 4 for 4 with four RBIs. Brooke Bobbey and Lauren Sienkiewicz had three and two hits, respectively. Lakeview’s Cait Kelm broke up the no-hitter with a single.

Struthers 11, Niles 1

STRUTHERS

Macie Smith had two hits including a double and scored twice. Renee Leonard had two hits including a double, two RBIs and one run scored. Maddie Bova had two hits including a triple and scored three times. Halle Snider and Lindsay Hayes had the Red Dragons’ hits. Champion 18, Liberty 0

LIBERTY

Allison Smith tossed a 1-hitter while striking out 15 with no walks for Champion. She hit two home runs at the plate for four RBIs. Claire Howell and Hannah Gresch each hit one home run.

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP

Aryana Hartman and Desi Allen each drove in two runs for the Vikings. Natalie Sisler also had an RBI. Arianna Geordan allowed four runs — three earned — on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts. Kristen Drake, Lucia Mozzocco and Heather Farr all drove in runs for the Warriors. Bella Varkett took the loss, allowing five runs — three earned — on 12 hits and a walk. Varkett struck out four.

Newton Falls 11, Brookfield 1

BROOKFIELD

Tara Backherms and Emily Knight each had a home run and three RBIs for Newton Falls. Sophie Tvaroch struck out five and walked one to get the win. Gabby Shiska took the loss for Brookfield.

Crestview 11, Campbell 1

CAMPBELL

Campbell scored a run in the top of the first inning. Crestview scored eight runs and sent 13 batters to the plate in the bottom of the first. Skyler Mattern had two singles, a double and two RBIs. Haley Eskra had three singles and an RBI. Baylie Bettura, Shianna Mathes and Olivia Strank each had two hits. Maria Koullias had a hit for the Red Devils. Kayla Deily picked up the win for the Rebels (11-2) striking out six while giving up three hits and two walks.

Jackson-Milton 6, Western Reserve 5

BERLIN CENTER

Katie Mitchell pitched three innings, allowing two hits and striking out four. Reliever Spencer Christopher allowed two hits and struck out one. Chelsea Williams and Camryn Mitchell had two hits. Abby Spalding’s two hits included an inside-the-park homer. Spencer Christopher drove in the winning run. For the Blue Devils, Jasmine Phillips had two hits.

Bristol 8, Windham 2

WINDHAM

Kendyl Switzer’s three hits included a homer and drove in three runs. She tossed a one-hitter, striking out 10 and walking six. Alayna Sines’ two hits drove in two runs while Billie Miller had two hits including a double. Bella Homchosky doubled and drove in two runs while Kayla Switzer and Brooklyn Mullenax each doubled for the Panthers.

NEWBURY

Losing pitcher Libby Mosher struck out 27 batters and walked six. Madison Fink’s three hits included a double. Mosher also doubled.

Mathews 15, Pymatuning Valley 0

VIENNA

Savannah Eggens gave up two hit and struck out six for the Mathews. Abby Corson allowed 15 hits and walked two for Pymatuning Valley. Bella Spano had two hits and three RBIs for Mathews (3-4).

UNIONTOWN

After being down five at halftime, the Cardinals (8-1) rallied. Maeghan Williams, Anna Wollet and Mia Stana each scored two goals while Olivia Alfano, Katie Enright and Lexi Saunders scored one. Annie Driscoll made nine saves.

CANFIELD

Emily Wilson, Shianne Donnarummno, Tara Santoro and Sarah Grohovsky each scored twice for the Cardinals (7-2). Clare Crescimanno, Isabella Kelty and Athena Poulas each scored one goal. Mara Guerreri made 12 saves for the Cardinals.
