Marissa Mediati to be bride of Matthew Stookey

POLAND

St. Angela Merici Church in Youngstown has been chosen as the setting for the 1:30 p.m. June 8 wedding of Marissa Mediati and Matthew Stookey, both of Dallas, whose engagement is being announced by the bride-elect’s parents, Helen Mediati and Ralph Mediati, both of Poland.

The prospective groom is the son of Stephen and Beverly Stookey of Hale Center, Texas.

An evening reception will take place at Stambaugh Auditorium. Invitations will be extended for both events.

The bride-elect graduated with bachelor’s degrees in flute performance and music history from Ohio Northern University and earned a master’s degree in flute performance from Ithaca College. She is the general manager at Garland Symphony Orchestra in Dallas.

Mr. Stookey graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in music education and earned a master’s degree in saxophone performance from Ithaca College. He is pursuing a doctorate of musical arts at the University of North Texas and is a private saxophone instructor with the Wylie Independent School District in Dallas.
