ACB starts shoe drive

Austintown Community Baseball is holding an athletic shoe drive fundraiser during the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons to raise money for players’ families through a new campaign, the Bullpen Relief Fund. The baseball organization is creating this fund to benefit families in need and to give back to the community in other ways like donating to local charities. Austintown Community Baseball will earn funds based on the total quantity of pairs of gently worn, used and new sneakers collected. ‚ãGotSneakers,‚ã a social enterprise, will issue funds in compensation for the collected sneakers. Anyone can help by simply donating gently worn, used and new sneakers and cleats at Libbee Field, the Stryffeler Indoor Batting Barn and the Clubhouse at Champ Park during evening games.
