STRUTHERS

Winning pitcher Jonah Kirchner (1-0) tossed a three-hitter, striking out six and walking three. Colin Balas led the Irish attack with three hits and two runs scored. Jeremy Kreuzwieser contributed two hits including a double, three runs scored and three RBIs for Ursuline (1-5). Brady Shannon hit two doubles and drove in a run. Crestwood dropped to 3-3.

Jefferson 5, Struthers 1

JEFFERSON

Ava Contenza had two hits while Lexi Zeman had two hits and scored twice for Jefferson. Winning pitcher Sheridan Wilber struck out 16. Mary Bayus had two hits and Macie Smith had a double and scored the run for Struthers.

Beaver Local 10, Edison 6

EAST LIVERPOOL

Leann Pancake won the game with a walk-off grand slam for Beaver Local. Alli Grimes hit a three-run homer for the Wildcats.

UNIONTOWN

Mariah Wallace tripled while Maggie Pertee and E. Ickes doubled as the Blue Streaks snapped the Golden Flashes’ 41-game winning streak. For Champion (2-1), Allison Smith had three hits and drove in four runs. Sophie Howell also had three hits.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Kenston 11, Canfield 8

CANFIELD

Tara Santoro led the Cardinals (4-2) with three goals in a loss to the Bombers. Emily Wilson And Sarah Grohovsky had two goals each and Athena Poullas had a goal. Mara Guerrieri had 10 saves for Canfield.
