Milan Square completed nine of 21 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns for the Eagles (5-1, 1-0 Portage Trail Conference). Altwjuan Beck-Lindsey rushed for 154 yards on 19 carries and scored two touchdowns. Square ran for 34 yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Trowers’ two receptions included a 60-yard touchdown. On defense, he led with 13 tackles. Melvin Neail also had a touchdown reception.

Garfield is 4-2, 0-1.

BELOIT

Griffin Lough and Avery Francis scored for the Warriors. Lough had an assist and goalkeeper Jared Butler made six saves. For the Irish, Jacob Coman scored two goals and Bo Gray made eight saves.

NEWTON FALLS

Jake Wickline scored four goals for the Rebels (11-2). Ryan Emch and Colt Crane (each scored two goals while Carter Blakeman and Brandon Muntean netted one each. Cory Dewell and Mitch Auer each made two assists. Others with assists were Wickline, Emch, Muntean, Colton Novak, Dale McGoogan and Tanner Daub. Blakeman made five saves. For the Tigers, Ethan Wolford made nine saves.

Jonathan DeJane had seven saves for Wellsville and James Simkins had six saves for Jackson-Milton.

BOARDMAN

Maria Torres led Boardman with 10 kills, two aces and seven digs. Raegan Burkey had 26 assists, five aces and eight digs while Katie Stamp finished with six kills, two blocks and six digs for the Spartans (15-3). Jessica Hughes led Struthers with seven kills and three digs. Kaylei Shaffer finished with six kills, a block and a dig while Amanda Zupko recorded four kills and two blocks.
