SENIOR CITIZENS
Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screening will be available from 12:30 to 1 p.m. before the meeting. There will be a musical program by William Lewis of Youngstown who is a member of the County Mayo Irish Folk Band and other area musical groups. The November meeting will feature Delmar Stubbs, who will recognize Veterans Day with information regarding the Veterans Service Commission and services available to veterans. The bus trip for Oct. 10 has been canceled, and checks will be returned at the meeting or will be mailed to those not attending. Nonmembers and guests are welcome to attend the meetings and any future bus trips. For membership information, call Connie at 330-332-0121.
Freetimers will host its monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana. All Youngstown State University retirees are invited to eat and socialize.
Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday at Lowellville City Hall Conference Room. Lunch will be provided. For reservations, call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. Paula Kacir, secretary, will preside. New members are welcome. Lowellville residency is not a requirement. To report an illness or death among members, call Norma Higgins, sunshine chairwoman, at 330-953-3090. September birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Bingo will follow the meeting.
SOAR 27-2 and 27-6, Steelworkers Retirees Local Union 1330 and 1331 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome. Reservations for the Christmas party will be taken.
