Ursuline High School is announcing that senior student Alexander Stoneman has been named a National Merit Semi-Finalist, ranking him in the top 1 percent of high-school seniors nationwide. Stoneman is a member of the student council, Student Ambassadors, Students of Stewardship and the golf team. He is also a member of the speech and debate team where he has earned the title of State Champion in Congressional Debate. Stoneman is among 16,000 semifinalists nationwide and represents less than 1 percent of all U.S. high-school seniors. Alex is a graduate of Saint Charles School and a member of the parish.

Information night

Ursuline High School will host a special information night for prospective parents at 7 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Deibel-Morley Arts Center on the Ursuline campus, 750 Wick Ave. At that time, the Ursuline administrative team will present a program regarding tuition, financial aid, college preparatory curriculum, the dress code, extracurricular programs and the spiritual environment of Ursuline. Parents will have the opportunity to tour the school. There also will be a tuition raffle. Refreshments will be provided.
