Library expands collection to pans

lisbon

The Lepper Library is announcing that they now offer both ukuleles and cake pans for the public to borrow. Libraries across the nation are expanding the variety of circulating materials to include things like musical instruments and household items.

Purchased through a grant from the State Library of Ohio and the Library Services and Technology Act, the ukuleles are to encourage artists of all mediums to find resources at the library.

The ukuleles will be made available to library cardholders over the age of 18 for a maximum borrowing term of two weeks at a time. Included with the ukuleles are brief instructions on how to tune the instrument.

New books on how to play the ukuleles and sheet music also have been added to the collection and can be checked out along with the ukulele kit. Patrons also will be able to make specialty cakes of different characters and styles. Before the cake pan is returned to the library, it must be washed. Included with most cake pan kits are instructions on how to decorate the cake. Materials for patrons are in many different formats.
