North Dakota State 38, Delaware 10

FARGO, N.D.

Easton Stick passed for two touchdowns and ran for two more and North Dakota State got off to a quick start on its way to a win over Delaware. Stick had both of his rushing scores and one of his touchdown passes — an 18-yarder to Bruce Anderson — in the first quarter and Jabril Cox returned an interception 36 yards as the FCS top-ranked Bison took off to a 28-0 lead. Stick threw an 11-yard pass to Ben Ellefson in the second quarter and Cam Pedersen added a third-quarter field goal to lead 38-0 before the Blue Hens scored their points in the final minutes of the game. The Bison intercepted three passes and Greg Menard notched the 30th sack of his career. The Bison outgained Delaware 527-152 with Stick passing for 280 yards.

Illinois State 35, Colorado State 19

FORT COLLINS, COLO.

Brady Davis threw for two touchdowns and James Robinson ran for two more and Illinois State beat Colorado State. Davis finished with 271 yards passing for the Redbirds (2-0). Robinson ran for 184 yards and Markel Smith ran for 65 yards and a score and caught a 60-yard touchdown pass. Robinson capped a 70-yard drive with a short scoring run early in the second quarter and Smith ran one in just before halftime to give the Redbirds a 14-6 lead. Davis threw a 12-yard touchdown to Tylor Petkovich early in the third quarter and a 60-yard strike to Smith midway through the fourth, stretching it to 28-13. Late in the game, Robinson broke for a 57-yard scoring run on first down, taking it to 35-13 with 2:48 left. K.J. Carta-Samuels threw for 142 yards and two touchdowns for the Rams.

Northern Iowa 44, Hampton 0

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA

Eli Dunne threw three touchdown passes, Trevor Allen and Marcus Weymiller each ran for a score and Northern Iowa forced five turnovers in shutting out Hampton. Dunne hit Elias Nissen with a 12-yard TD pass on the Panthers’ opening possession, then Chris Kolarevic’s interception set up the first of Austin Errthum’s three field goals. Allen, 55 yards on five carries, ran untouched over the right side of the line and raced 49 yards for a score for a 20-0 halftime lead. Weymiller, 20 carries for 78 yards, scored on a 9-yard run in the third quarter. Dunne was 16 of 23 for 191 yards passing, with TD strikes of 19 yards to Nick Fossey and 12 yards to Deion McShane. McShane’s TD was set up by Xavier Williams’ interception. Delmon Williams was 4 of 16 for 52 yards passing for Hampton (1-2), with three interceptions.
