Golf league seeks new members

The 9-hole Mill Creek Ladies Tuesday Morning Team League is looking for new members. Play begins on May 7, 2019, with tee-off times starting at 8:30 a.m. Since an established handicap is required, golfers are welcome to join on Tuesday mornings to establish one. For information, call 330-758-0798.

The Alliance of Therapy Dogs and Paws Hand Delivered will host its last therapy dog testing for 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 29 at Conneaut Lake Bark Park, 12810 Foust Road, East. Library to host movie Monday

The Lepper Library, 303 E. Lincoln Way, will host a 1953 comedy film at 2 p.m. Monday and an adult coloring session at 6 p.m. Supplies will be provided.

Funds being raised for new trolley

MacMillan Office Supply, 553 E. State St., will donate 10 percent of the sale price for each chair purchased from those in stock, to the Salem Historical Society Trolley Replacement Fund through Friday.

Oktoberfest is Sept. 30

Shelter offers calendars

The Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County is now selling Lottery Calendars for 2019. Calendar sales benefits victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and victims of other violent crimes. For 2019, there is a new format for the calendars. They will temporarily be sold for January only for a donation of $10. Purchase a ticket from the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County this year, and participants will have a chance to win every day for the month of January. The winner is based on the first evening three-digit drawing of the Pennsylvania State Lottery. If the winning ticket is not sold, the winnings will roll to the next day.
